True Love

I've been busy as a C.O.L.E. Prayer Team member. I thank God for placing more AMAZING people in my life! All of these families stories touch me in such incredible ways. I have adopted 2 families officially, but look at and comment to many more than that on a daily basis. It's something that I encourage everyone to get involved with. "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24 NIV http://www.colesfoundation.com/ http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/coleruotsala
Before long I will be updating my myspace page. This is something that I had written on it (and still have on it) about 1-2 months before finding out about Cody having leukemia. It's so weird how things happen, but I was updating my page and felt compelled to share my feelings of our lives together and I was in tears while writing it, which I didn't fully understand why at the time, but I wanted a place to save what I wrote then, so I will save it here.

He means so much to me! I don't know where I'd be in this life without him. Cody is my best friend. We have such a deep love for one another. And, we've never given up! He taught me so many things about myself that I may have never known without him. When he first appeared in my life, it was really bad timing. He never gave up on me....Before long, I knew that he would do anything for me. It's funny because sometimes what you're looking for and wanting so badly, is right in front of you. And, not as an excuse, my honest worst fear was that if we crossed that line , I would lose my very best friend and we could never go back. I can't tell you how many nights we talked all night. About anything. And everything. We sang, we laughed, we held nothing back- and we even had some time apart, but when we got back to each other's lives, we just picked up where we had left off. It was like no time had passed by and we hadn't missed out on anything. I finally let my guard down and realized that what we had was so real, that it's a once in a lifetime kind of love that you can't just let pass you by. I will never forget the first time we held hands and that feeling that I had that I knew it was forever. As you can see, our lives just took off from there. We have an amazing bond and such a strong connection! We've been through so much and love can get you through anything. "LOVE- if you have it, you don't need anything else. If you don't have it, it doesn't matter much what else you do have."
On my public myspace page: www.myspace.com/tryingtomakeadifference there is a song and in case you've never listened closely to the lyrics, here they are:
Line Between the Two- Mark Harris
A beginning and an ending, dates upon a stone
But the moment in the middle is how we will be known
Cause what defines us can be found within a line
Finding reason for our time
Chorus:
And the years go by, how they seem to fly
They'll all be over soon
When our life is done, did we live and love
The way we wanted to
Cause everyday that we leave behind
Goes on to tell the truth
Of how we lived in the line between the two
The line between the two
Will I walk straight, will I be true
Will I finish strong
Will I stand up for the moment
When I could right a wrong
Because the legacy we have will never change
It's how we spend our days
Chorus
I could live a life for just myself
Or I could live a life for someone else
But I'll live and die just to hear You say
Well done my son come and be with Me
Chorus
